What’s your favorite ‘Moon over Martinborough’ story so far?

I think you should add a new category: most obscure fan! That would be me here in South Carolina! Counting down the months until your book is released, and counting down the days until your olive oil is sitting on my front porch (my husband Van ordered me some for Christmas!!)!
Aha! So the oil I shipped to Van is for you! Fantastic. The post office told me it’ll take about 2 weeks, and I shipped it 11 days ago. But I know things go slower around Christmas. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks so much for the order. And BTW I think that’s an excellent category!
Thanks, Jared! The oil finally arrived today! I can’t wait until dinner tonight now to try it out!
So glad it arrived safely. Hope you’re enjoying it! If you get a chance, we’d love to see your review over on our Olive Oil page.
It is always a pleasure to be in your blog company. I’m always equipped with a large mug of tea so I can settle in and read your stories in comfort and contemplate life over the hill amongst the olives. Wishing you a wonderful 2013. I look forward to reading your stories in print.
And I’m looking forward to seeing more of your fabulous photography and posts.
I love reading your blog – always makes me smile (sometimes a bit through tears when you post sad stuff). Hope 2013 is all that you hope and wish it to be!
May you have a great 2013 too.
WooHoo, I am one of the top five, that’s coz I love your blog or I talk to much…maybe both. Happy New Year to you both! x
Thank you for the comments! And it’s NOT because you talk too much. Commenters can never talk too much!!
Happy new year to you too! Its bliss being able to read your blog and escape over the hill to another world. The only problem is that it makes me want to move to the Wairarapa and buy an olive grove and some funky animals friends. You really are living the good life hon. May 2013 be your best year yet :-) Becks x
Here’s hoping 2013 is your best yet as well. All signs point to it being a very good year, methinks.
I’ve read your blog since the first one and enjoy the stories as you both have come to grips with not only a new country, but a new way of life as you have learned how to look after the land as well as your animals and fowl friends. I encourage my friends to read as well,, it is so quirky and interesting. Looking forward to your adventures in the New year..
Thanks for sticking with us all this way. I’m very very grateful. Hope you have a great new year!
Ditto Hayley, my fellow top 5 blog poster-er!! There are those amongst us who think perhaps I talk too much. To them I say, I er write like I talk so enjoy! I hav insatiable curiosity and luv MOM!
As with Hayley – Commenters never talk too much! Thanks Aunt Charlie!
Hi dearests, hope you’re on fine form. Please could you email me? Kate from Featherston X PS Do you make a garlic-infused oil?
Hi Kate! We don’t have infused oils as once they’re infused they’re no longer extra virgin. We’ve got a Barnea/manzanillo blend and frantoio/leccino blend. Will email!
Love your stories Jared. I don’t think I can pick a favorite. I enjoy each of them…for different reasons each time. Often they make me laugh…. or I think…did that really happen? Looking forward to seeing your book.
Thank you Jana. Rest assured that all events are real. I use poetic license but never so much as to alter the essential truth of a story. For example, I confess that I make up the quotes that I attribute to the chickens. :-)
